Astmoor Industrial Estate
Astmoor Industrial Estate is a large estate totalling 2.3 million square feet of primarily industrial space. The estate covers an area of approximately 195 acres. Located to the north east of Runcorn, the estate is situated adjacent to the Manchester Ship Canal on the south bank of the River Mersey. Astmoor is a Business Improvement District (BID), a partnership between the local authority and the local business community.
Location
The Astmoor Industrial Estate is located to the north east of Runcorn town centre and is accessed directly off Astmoor Road which links on to Daresbury Expressway (A558), providing direct access to Junctions 11 and 12 of the M56 motorway. The estate is ideally located within 30 minutes drive from Liverpool and Chester and 40 minutes from Manchester
By Rail
Runcorn mainline railway station is situated 2 miles from the estate providing fast and frequent services throughout the UK. Liverpool city centre can be reached in 20 minutes and London is accessible in just 1 hour 50 minutes. Runcorn East railway station provides links with Chester and Manchester. Rail freight terminals are located at Warrington, Manchester and Liverpool.
By Air
Manchester International Airport is located within 19 miles and Liverpool John Lennon Airport is 10 miles from the estate.

The BID Levy for Astmoor
All businesses within the BID area pay a set levy. This money is used to provide additional services that will benefit businesses within the area.
These extra benefits are aimed at vastly improving the quality of the area for the businesses, visitors and employees within it as well as improving attractiveness to new investors. This can include physical projects such as better lighting and street cleaning as well as the creation of green spaces, crime reduction programmes, events, transport and accessibility improvements, in addition to marketing, networking and inward investment initiatives.
