First Aid Refresher
November 19, 2019 @ 8:00 am - November 26, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

This is a two day course being held on 19th & 26th November at Castlefields Community Centre
2 DAY RE-QUALIFICATION COURSE
Pre-requisites
The practical elements of this course are essential as they provide you with vital hands-on experience. It is important that you are physically able to take part in the practical parts of the course.
The HSE requires you to attend the full duration of the course to be eligible for evaluation and qualify for an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
Assessment and Certification
You will be continually assessed throughout the duration of the course by one of our qualified trainers. Upon successful completion you will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate valid for three years.
The HSE recommends that all qualified first aiders should refresh their knowledge and first aid skills every year. We offer an on-site Annual Skills Update course which can be delivered at your premises for up to 12 first aiders.
If you have a 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work certificate that is due to expire and you are still working in a low risk working environment then to re-qualify you must complete the 1 day course again. This course can train a candidate to be a new first aider or re-qualify those that are due to expire. If your risk assessment has now identified your working environment as high risk then please consider the full 3 day First Aid at Work course.
Additional Information
This course can be completed as an external course at one of our external venues which are strategically placed throughout the UK including all major cities.
Alternatively, if you have a suitable room available with 7 or more candidates to be trained then an on-site course could be a more cost effective solution. If given at least 4 weeks’ notice then one of our trainers could deliver a course at your premises on a date of your choice. The timings could also be arranged to suit your requirements.
In-House Room Requirements
It is recommended that the room size should be approximately 20 x 30 feet for a full 12 person course. The room should be large enough to seat all candidates comfortably in a semi-circle formation. The floor space in the centre should be clean and uncluttered as this will be used for the practical parts of the course. The trainer will also require a flip chart if one is available.
This course is the re-qualification for first aiders who have originally completed the full 3 day First Aid at Work course.
Is this course for me?
It is for first aiders who are near the end of the 3 year qualification period and are due to expire.
