This three-day, interactive course will provide all delegates with a good understanding of international trade with delegates learning the key information, processes and essential knowledge required to import and export goods successfully into and from the UK. The course is funded by the European Social Fund & Liverpool City Region Strategic Investment Fund.
14th, 15th & 16th September from 9:30am to 4:30pm
Course Objectives
At the end of this course all learners will have the essential knowledge required to import and export including:
- Understanding of the processes involved in importing
- Understanding the processes involved in exporting
- Know the challenges of cross boarder payments
- Understand Commodity Codes
- Understand Incoterms
- Be able to list documentary requirements
- Be able to set out an export action plan for your business
- Be able to apply importing/exporting knowledge to a product using a real-life situation
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at all those currently involved in importing and exporting as well as those new to or considering international trade. As no previous experience is required, the following people are encouraged to attend:
- Those actively involved in the exporting and importing process
- Those who have previously been involved in the export and importing of goods and wish to update their knowledge
- Anyone who is considering international trade (importing or exporting) in the near future to aid internal decision making and strategy
- Employees who would like to learn more about the processes and costs involved when importing and exporting
