Under our Safe and Secure Theme we are pleased to announce that we have had face coverings made by Sew Halton. Sew Halton are a social enterprise business that trades to tackle social problems using machine sewing, textile craft and up-cycling as a platform to increase skills and improve health and wellbeing. Sew Halton provide training workshops and sewing confidence courses for groups and individuals who may be isolated, long term unemployed and at risk of developing mental health problems.
The face coverings are a comfortable fit and each comes within its own plastic bag with a pocket available for a filter should you wish to source one separately. However, please be aware that there are inappropriate filters being sold and used, therefore, it is vital that you ensure that the filters meet the required standards.
Please let us know if you think you could benefit from a face covering and we’ll get them delivered to you as soon as possible.
Please remember that use of face coverings is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, such as social distancing, washing your hands and refraining from touching your face. Please also understand that face coverings are not a replacement for medical grade Personal Protective Equipment, and in circumstances where medical grade Personal Protective Equipment is recommended, you should consult a health care professional. Halton BID cannot guarantee that the face covering will prevent you from contracting Covid 19 and the decision to use this mask is solely your own.
