Confidential Secure Shredding

Disposing of documents can be a hassle and an unwanted extra cost for businesses. To help ease this burden, we offer free, secure, and confidential document shredding to all BID businesses.

We make it simple:

We provide the bags, you fill them, we collect them.  The entire service is designed to be frictionless and as easy as possible for you.

All items are destroyed at Eco Shred’s facility based in Widnes in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. Following this process, Halton BID receives a Certificate of Destruction detailing the number of bags that were compliantly disposed of and/or recycled, along with the date the destruction took place.

Please note that this certificate does not name the individual businesses whose documents were included in the destruction. However, the Halton BID team maintains a separate internal record of all businesses that have requested to be included in each collection cycle.

Halton BID acknowledges that there is a period between the collection of confidential waste bags and the delivery to the shredding facility. During this time, we place full trust in our external contractor to maintain the highest level of security, confidentiality, and integrity in handling the materials. The contractor is expected to ensure that all bags remain sealed, are not tampered with, and are stored securely at all times until delivery takes place.
